Capoeira in North Wales
I run Capoeira Mocambo a not-for-profit community music and dance organisation affiliated with the Senzala Capoeira Association in Santos, Brazil. Capoeira is Brazilian art form which combines Dance, Music, Martial Arts and theatrical game play. Regular classes for adults and children are held every Monday and Wednesday at The Old Goods Yard (TOGY) in Bangor near the Menai Bridge .
I have been practicing Capoeira within the Senzala Santos Association since 1997, achieving “Formado” in 2004, “Monitor” in 2010 and the “Professor” Qualification in 2025.
